There’s something special about a wedding that spills into the next day, meeting over breakfast, sharing memories, the celebration continues past just the wedding day.
On-site accommodation transforms a wedding day into a wedding weekend. It’s something very few venues in Kent can genuinely offer, and it’s something we’ve built Broome Park around.
We’ve hosted hundreds of weddings here. In this guide, we share what to look for when choosing a Kent wedding venue with accommodation, and how to make the most of having everyone under one roof.
What to Look for in a Kent Wedding Venue With Accommodation
Not all wedding venues with accommodation are created equal. It’s worth asking a few questions before you commit.

On-site vs Nearby
Many venues mention accommodation in their brochures, but what they often mean is a list of nearby hotels they’d recommend. On-site accommodation is a different proposition entirely. Your guests walk upstairs when the evening winds down, rather than waiting for a taxi to somewhere close by. There’s no hard stop, no watching the clock, no one slipping away before the last dance.
For guests travelling from further afield, older guests, or anyone with young children, rooms on the same site aren’t just a nice touch. They’re a practical decision that shapes the whole weekend.
Exclusive-use vs Shared
Some hotel venues take other guests alongside your wedding party. An exclusive-use wedding venue means the whole venue is yours: every room, every space, every corner of the grounds. No strangers at the bar. Just you and the people you’ve chosen to be there.
How Many Rooms Will You Need?
A useful rule of thumb: plan for around a third of your guest list to want to stay overnight. For a 100-person wedding, that’s roughly 30 to 35 guests. Check how many rooms a venue has on site, and whether they can recommend nearby options for anyone who can’t be accommodated on the estate itself.
Why On-Site Accommodation Changes a Wedding
No transport coordination, no guests leaving early, no hard stop imposed by taxi availability. The evening ends when it ends, naturally, on your terms.
The weddings people describe years later, the ones that still feel vivid, that guests still mention, are almost always the ones where everyone stayed. Sunday morning, breakfast still going, no one in any particular rush to leave. That unhurried feeling is difficult to create, and at a venue that empties at midnight, you simply don’t get it.
Accommodation at Broome Park
Broome Park sits within acres of Kent countryside, and the accommodation is woven into the estate rather than added to it. We have luxury suites within our Grade I listed manor house, lodges set into the woodland, and a private cottage tucked into the grounds.

Rooms and Suites
In total, we have 22 luxury hotel suites, 14 woodland lodges, and a private cottage.
The mansion house suites each have their own character: original period details, comfortable interiors, and views over the gardens or the golf course. The woodland lodges sit a short walk from the main house, fully equipped and private, and tend to be a favourite with families and guests who appreciate a little more space. Flint Cottage is something else entirely: a country house feel in a quieter, more tucked-away corner of the estate.
Many couples also choose to take Broome Park on an exclusive use basis, with the house, the grounds, the ceremony spaces, and every bedroom reserved for their party from arrival through to checkout the following day. If that’s something you’re considering, our team would be glad to talk you through what it looks like in practice.

FAQs
Can All My Wedding Guests Stay At Broome Park?
With 22 hotel suites, 14 woodland lodges, and a private cottage, Broome Park has more on-site accommodation than most venues in Kent. For the majority of weddings, this covers the guest list comfortably.
How far in advance should I book a Kent wedding venue with accommodation?
For a summer wedding, 18 to 24 months is realistic at most country house hotel venues, sometimes more. Friday and Sunday dates, or weddings between October and March, tend to have more flexibility; 12 months is usually enough. It’s worth having two or three dates in mind before you start visiting venues.
Is it better to get married in a city or the countryside in Kent?
City venues tend to suit single-day celebrations where guests arrive, mark the occasion, and head home. Countryside estates suit a wedding weekend: guests arrive the evening before, stay the night, and leave Sunday at their own pace. Broome Park sits just outside Canterbury, which means guests get the estate experience with the city easily reachable the following morning.
How far do guests need to travel to reach Broome Park from London?
Canterbury is under an hour from London St Pancras, which makes Broome Park straightforward for guests travelling from London. From Canterbury, the estate is a short drive. For guests travelling by car, Broome Park has direct access from London and the M25.
